I sit in the garden reading when a cow wanders over. I watch my friend wash her clothes in cold water. I stand outside and hear the silence. Africa.

A VSO teacher was hit by a car a few weeks ago. He had been walking along the dusty road and didn't hear. He died last week. Everyone is very sad.
